The time has finally arrived. After the CPA road show and numerous meeting and revisions of the IID service agreement, we have finally managed to complete it and you as valued member now have the opportunity to make use of this up-to-date benefit. Dennis Warren-Tangney from WRI, the IID ‘legal team’, has done a stellar job in creating three documents that members can use when entering into contract with clients. These are:
1. The Initial Consultation Form – a form that members can use to ensure that any intellectual property divulged in the original consultation remains the possession of the designer/decorator.
2. The 2-pager Contract – a up-to-date short service agreement used by members when entering into contract with clients. This document are in line with all current legislation, including the CPA.
3. The 5-pager Contract – a longer and more thorough version of the 2-pager service agreement. This document is extremely comprehensive and offers complete protection to the member as well as the client.
We are extremely proud of this benefit, and urge members to make use of it to ensure that the industry reaches the profession standard that it so rightly deserves. We will be sending out the contract to all members in the new year, should you however require it beforehand please feel free to contact the National Office who will be more than willing to accommodate you. |
