| There is something hypnotically magnetizing about the promise of warm, hearty soup on a cold Highveld evening, and if this is to be flavoured with the essence of inspiration and seasoned with laughter and some healthy discourse one sits with the recipe for a perfect night out. Indeed, this is what was on the menu at the IID Regional Meeting held at the Lifestyle Design centre on the 7 July 2011. |

Change is inevitable and is the only constant thing. The IID has gone through very many changes and I think they were all very necessary ones. So it is inevitable that I embark on my own new journey that will bring about essential and exciting changes for myself. It is with a heavy heart but a light flight that I bid you all an emotional farewell. |

For the first time at Decorex Johannesburg the IID Professions will have a VIP lounge for all IID members. Tea and coffee will be served all day. IID members are welcome to use the lounge for meetings and networking or simply to put your feet up. Please have your IID membership card with you to gain access into the lounge. |

An excellent response was received and the Open Competition entries displayed an array of interesting concepts and ideas. The winning entry was chosen by Adriaan Hugo of Dokter and Misses and Ross Douglas of Artlogic. Assisting them was Marcus Pieterse of Make, who is responsible for the building of the tables and bookshelves. |
