The Design Studio at Ferreiras Northriding & Cape Town facilitates the complete design and specification process for all types of residential, contractual and architectural designs.
Our professional team gladly assists clients with the following services:
• Alternative plan layout drawings to optimise bathroom potential
• Elevation drawings for tile layout
• Floor drawings for tile layout
• Material schedules for wall and floor finishes
• Computer aided visuals of interior designs
• Sample/Mood board presentations
The Design Studio also boasts two additional services in the form of an extensive and updated design library and the hosting of special events for all its members.
The design library’s publications are both historical and contemporary and provide a service for research, analysis and relevant documentation on the latest designs.

HOW WE WORK
We provide a niche service of designing bathrooms & tiling layouts.
The first step in the design service is to meet and consult with the client to establish their design needs.
Once the studio has identified the client's requirements, conceptual development and specification follows. The conceptual phase is the key in creative problem solving of interior spaces, and finding the holistic feel desired for the space.
After the concept and specifications have been finalized, the service will commence with the working drawing phase to assist in the construction of the design. The final step is to create a photo-realistic image to show the client the design that will be implemented.
Our Design Studio will assist you with design and planning of your bathroom to maximize its potential, with the following services:
• 2D Plan B/W (A3)
• 2D Elevations B/W (A3)
• 3D Perspective Colour (A4)
• Calculate of square meters of tiles
• Assistance with design and planning
DESIGN LIBRARY
First Design Library for SA Architects opens in Johannesburg
Ferreiras Décor World, the high-end tile and sanitary ware outlets that has enhanced South African homes, hotels and shopping centres for the past 35 years, has ratcheted up its service offerings to the architectural industry by opening a design library in Johannesburg the first of its kind in South Africa. The library, based on the Milan Design Library and created in collaboration with Design Partners in Milan, will serve as a platform for interactive communication in the design fraternity and an information hub for design professionals and students.
Like any library, this is an organic project that will evolve and grow as the volume of design literature increases. The aim of the design library also includes hosting and co-hosting events with industry associations like the Gauteng Institute for Architecture (GIFA) and the South African Institute of Interior Design Professions (IID).
This innovation in the interior design sector follows the establishment by Ferreiras of a design studio last year. The studio serves homeowners direct, as well as design professionals. "We assist the architect and interior designer with technical product advice and with computer visualisations".
