The 10% for 90% campaign is the collective Corporate Social Investment projects initiated and hosted by the IID. The campaign borrowed from one of our founding members The Greenside Design Centre and theme for this year’s IFI (International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers) World Interiors day.
Our community projects will focus on providing assistance to the children and service men of our country. |

The IID have identified two charities that will enable the IID team to lend our design capabilities to those that are most in need. Design has the ability to change atmospheres, alter perceptions and mould environments. This powerful tool has the capacity to brighten the future of the children that hold the future of South Africa in the palm of their hands.
Othandweni Orphanage is an inspiring example of the dedication and compassion that South Africans afford their fellow man. A home that provides shelter and love to those that have fallen victim to neglect, abuse and abandonment, supplies a consistent source of comfort and affection to those who need it most. It was once said that 'your family are those that love you when you need them most', the Othandweni community are a large unconventional family that demonstrates the values that every South African can be proud of. |

The second charity that will be supported by the IID is Mapetla Day Care and Hospice. This was an emotive introduction to the enthusiasm and hard work of the community of Soweto and the willingness of our communities to take responsibility for the future of our children. Mapetla provides care and early education for 102 orphans and vulnerable children, including life skills development and preparation for primary school.
The IID team has had the pleasure of meeting individuals who have motivated us to take control of our future and contribute to the development of our country. We would like to invite you to join us on this life altering journey and make a difference to those that need our love now. |
