Marc-Antoine Kikano - MA in Interior Architecture, Academie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts, (ALBA) Beirut, Lebanon will present a paper entitled; 'Traditional Make-overs, the value added transformation of traditional Lebanese houses into modern clubs and restaurants.' |

Dr Antoine Abi Aad - PhD of Philosophy in Design, Comprehensive Human Sciences, Art and Design, at Tsukuba University, Japan will present a paper entitled; 'Visual Transliterations of Oral Combinations of Language in Lebanon.' |

There will also be a small exhibition of student work from Lebanon especially brought by the speakers. |

Mr Marc-Antoine Kikano: Marc completed his Masters in Interior Architecture from ALBA, Academie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts, University of Beirut. He then started working on several local boutique shops and clubs of a small town where he introduced interior architecture as a new trend. With time, he made a name for himself in the architectural design of pubs and nightclubs before branching out to other disciplines. He worked on conceptual design and some selective architectural projects to places beyond Lebanon, such as Africa and Europe. He has also been working as a workshop teacher in ALBA since September 2008. |

Dr Antoine Abi Aad: Lebanese described as Japanese in his country. In 2000 Antoine completed his DES in Advertising from ALBA or the Academie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts, University of Beirut. He went to Japan in 2001 where he studied in the University of Tsukuba: in 2004 he finished his Master of Arts in Visual Communication Design, in 2007 he completed his Ph.D. in Comprehensive Human Sciences, Art and Design, and after a year of postdoctoral research, he returned to Lebanon in 2008. He is currently a lecturer and a coordinator in ALBA. Antoine worked, exhibited, taught or lectured in Lebanon, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Dubai, Tunisia, Peru, Greece, USA, China, Taiwan, Brazil, Poland, Kenya, and Germany. |
